North West Slopes and Plains Cattle breeders will get their chance to see the calmest cattle around at the Senepol Cattle Open Day this week.
With their superior traits of heat tolerance, insect resistance and ability to thrive on poor quality forage, as well as excellent fertility, superior carcass qualities, feed efficiency, remarkably quiet nature and renowned maternal and milking ability, the Senepol is regarded as a profitable crossbreeding option for the beef industry.
This week’s open day is aimed at introducing beef breeders to the Senepol as well as providing a number of industry briefs on topics including performance recording and new genetic DNA technology. Opportunities to purchase Senepol bulls through a Helmsman Sale will be provided.
